Setting a Site’s coordinates

The route optimisation process uses each site’s coordinates to suggest an optimised route. Before you can include a site in an optimised delivery route, you must first get those coordinates.

There are multiple ways to set the coordinates for a site. Wherever you see the Geo column or map icon you can set the coordinates.

  1. On the Home page, click Sales
  2. Click on the Sites tab
  3. Use the search filters to find the site that you want to set coordinates for
  4. Click the Edit button
  5. Enter the site address details as required, then click Save
  6. On the Options menu, press the Geocode button
  7. A map will be displayed showing a list of results, the first result is the closest match.
  8. If you need to, you can double-click the map to move the marker to a custom position.
  9. Select the coordinate you want and then press Save.
  10. Now that you have the coordinates for the site, you can view the site on the map by clicking the map icon next to Postcode.

The process above is exactly the same from the Site Delivery screen

  1. On the Home page, click Deliveries then Scheduling
  2. Click on the Optimise Route tab
  3. Use the search filters to find the site that you want to set coordinates for
  4. Right-click the site in the grid and press the Geocode button
  5. A map will be displayed showing a list of results, the first result is the closest match.
  6. If you need to, you can double-click the map to move the marker to a custom position.
  7. Select the coordinate you want and then press Save.
  8. Now that you have the coordinates for the site, you can view the site on the map by right-clicking the site in the grid and selecting View on Map.
Get missing coordinates on the Optimise Route screen
  1. On the Home page, click Deliveries then Scheduling
  2. Click on the Optimise Route tab
  3. Use the search filters to find the route that you want to set coordinates for
  4. Right-click in the grid and select Get Missing Coordinates
  5. The grid will refresh and the sites with coordinates will now have a tick in the Geo column
Get missing coordinates on the Manifest (Routes) screen
  1. On the Home page, click Deliveries
  2. Click on the Manifest (Route) tab
  3. Use the search filters to find the route that you want to set coordinates for
  4. Right-click the route in the grid
  5. Expand the Routing option from the right-click menu and select Get Missing Coordinates
  6. The grid will refresh and the sites with coordinates will now have a tick in the Geo column

If you use the address lookup feature, the coordinates will automatically be found for you.

If you make any changes to the site address, the saved coordinates will automatically be cleared for you ready for you to view the new address on the map!
