Understanding Routes

Routes in Service Manager are used to assign service items on a particular day of the week for a site. Every route has a default vehicle and each vehicle has a default driver, this is visualised in the diagram below:

You can create as many routes as you want to within Service Manager.

Routes come in two different types, Delivery and Scheduling. Mostly you will be creating routes using the Delivery type, however, you can use the Scheduling type as a holding area for service items that are yet to be allocated to a route.
