Service Manager Navigation

The navigation bar sits at the top of Service Manager and is available across the system. It’s the quickest way to move between core areas (such as Customers, Scheduling, and Invoices) and to access common tools like Filters and saved views.

Where to find it

The navigation bar is shown at the top of the screen after you log in. It stays visible as you move between screens.

What the buttons do

Toggle Filters

Opens and closes the Filters panel for the screen you are currently viewing.

You can use filters to:

  • narrow down lists by common fields (such as status, date, depot, or assigned user)
  • quickly search within a screen by typing into filter fields
  • clear filters to return to the full list

Filters are screen-specific, so the available options will change depending on where you are in Service Manager.

Toggle Current View

Switches between Grid view and Detail view for the screen you are currently on.

Use this when you want to:

  • view multiple records at once in a list (Grid view)
  • focus on a single record and its related tabs and details (Detail view)

The available views depend on the screen you are in, but this toggle will always switch between the list-style view and the record detail view.

These tabs take you to the main areas of Service Manager:

  • Leads
View and manage leads, including lead statuses and quote-related activity.
  • Customers
Access customer records, contacts, sites, and agreements.
  • Scheduling
Plan upcoming work, review schedules, and manage scheduled activity.
  • Manifesting
Prepare work for drivers, including manifests and job allocation.
  • Finance
Create, review, and manage invoices and billing activity.
  • Stock
Manage stock items, stock levels, and inventory activity.
  • Reports
Open the Reports screen to search and run reports.
  • Administration
System setup and configuration options (availability depends on your permissions).

Quick-access options

On the right-hand side of the navigation bar you can also access:

  • My Tasks
Your personal task list (this is often the default screen shown on login).
  • Current Week
A quick reference point that shows the current delivery period you are working in.
